Tee Ball

Kadence started playing tee ball this week. It was so fun watching her. She did all the typical things you hear about first time teeball players doing...sitting down and playing in the grass or dirt, watching the ball roll right by or waving at family members instead of paying attention to the game. I loved every minute of it!Look how little she is compared to the others
Team huddle
Coach helping her bat. She hit the ball and both times ran after the ball instead of running to first base. It's alright...we'll get it next time.
Yep...that's my baby girl sitting and playing in the dirt :)
This was at practice a few days before the game. She loved to just stand on the bases.

So stinkin cute!!!

My favorite time of day

The last few weeks Kadence has had to do breathing treatments for her asthma. Considering this is the first time this winter she has had a bad asthma episode is pretty good! But with that said she has to do a treatment every night before going to bed. We all put our jammies on and cuddle up in mommy's bed to watch part of a movie while K does her treatment. This is when Big Jake is getting ready for work so he gets to join us for a few minutes too. I just love laying in a comfy bed with my kiddos cuddling up to me.
I remember when I was growing up we would climb into my parents bed to watch some of our favorite shows. Every Sunday night we would find a spot on the bed and watch America's Funniest Home Videos together. I still record and watch that show. Who doesn't love a montage of people falling down or getting hit with something :) We would also read scriptures together every morning around our parents bed.
Awe....the memories!!!

Jake's 1 year pics!

A Few weeks ago we had our family pictures taken and they came out so BEAUTIFUL. There were so many great ones but I just picked a few of my favorite to post. Our friend has taken all our pictures over the last few years and she does such an amazing job. If you are interested in getting some taken for your family let me know and I'll get you intouch with her.

I love how both of my children have their hands in their mouths.
I love that little man!

That's my boy!
Daddy's girl all the way.

She's growing up so fast. Almost 3!!!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We went to Hurricane, Utah for Thanksgiving to see my cousin Pagie in a rodeo. We had so much fun visiting them. Check out some pics.Pagie & Kadence on Peanut.
Snack in the bath at the hotel. Silly girl!

Pagie & Kadence
I think Kadence looks a lot like Pagie when she was younger. If Kadence grows up to be like and look like Pagie I'm okay with that. Pagie is a BEAUTIFUL and TALENTED young lady.
We LOVE you PAGIE!

Sorry for the late notice

As many of you may know, my pops has MS. For the past 6 years he has been living in a nursing home/hospital unit fighting this disease. He is immobile and can only use his arms and hands very little. Enough to be able to wheel around his wheelchair. Although he is immobile, his sense of humor and loving spirit remain the same! He is a great guy despite his challenge with MS. On Saturday, November 7th, there will be a walk through the Phoenix zoo to help with research and to find a cure! You can come and walk with us, (for free!) and then enjoy a FREE day at the zoo! It would be awesome to get ALL of the support we can! All you need to do, is to register under our team's name which is POP's UNFORGETTABLE POSSE. Go HERE to register and click on join Amanda's team....If you can't make it to the walk but would still like to support the cause, there is also a place to donate. Details of the walk can be found HERE. But remember, just by participating in the walk, then you also get an all day free admission to the zoo!!! So put on your walking shoes and pack up those strollers and come have a good time!! What a perfect way to spend a Saturday with your family and in this beautiful weather!

We Love You Pops!!!!

A fun day at Chuck E. Cheese

Jake and I took Kadence and Junior to Chuck E. Cheese for an afternoon of pizza and fun. This is how Junior spent the entire time. Does he look like he is having fun to you?

She loved to ride the games with her daddy.
But who looks like they are having more fun???
Most of the other games she didn't really want to play she just wanted to put her coins in the slots and walk away so we had to find games that had buttons to push and she liked doing that. It was a fun day out with the kids!

Jakob Lars Burke Jr.

Jakob Lars Burke Jr. was born on Monday June 1st at 11:22 am. He was 7 pounds and 20 inches of pure perfect little baby boy! Proud Daddy looks a little tired.
I finally got my mama's boy!
Kadence absolutely loves him! Almost a little too much that sometimes it scares me.
First family picture and Kadence did not want to cooperate (she was eating jello with daddy).
After his first bath (looks just like Kadence when she was little).
Junior is just too cute!
My tiny little girl who is only 23 pounds herself looks huge next to Junior.

Getting ready for Junior!

Since we will be having our little boy in a couple of days Jake and I thought we should probably put together his crib. Kadence being the GOOD BIG SISTER I'm hoping she will be wanted to help daddy do all the work. Too cute! I had to share.
BIG KISS FOR DADDY!!!!

Kadence's first day of school!

I know what you are all thinking...Kadence isn't old enough to go to school. Well, I have a hard time calling it daycare so I like to call it school instead. It makes me as the mommy feel better about her going. So here it is, all smiles!

When I dropped her off she was so excited to play with the other kids it was great. Day two and three drop off not so good but I'm not going to get into that. Anyways...there's my big girl on her first day of school!

Easter

I just had to share some of these cute pictures of Kadence on Easter morning with all of you.
Here mommy I need help!
This was the first year that Jake and I actually hid eggs for Kadence. Yes, in the past we have hid eggs for each other around the house but it was so much more fun watching K find the eggs and get so excited about it.
Luckily we only hid like ten eggs because she had to open them right after she found them to eat the candy right away before putting it in her basket. Which again I'm glad I only put one tiny piece of candy in each egg.

I just love that little girl! She is the most adorable, precious thing in the whole wide world.
